STEP-PING UP: Applegarth Academy Celebrate a ‘Good’ Ofsted report

Report from the Croydon Advertiser this week

Education in New Addington has received another boost after Applegarth Academy was graded a “good” school by Ofsted inspectors.

Applegarth headteacher Alun Evans, who took the reins at Easter after previous head Zoe Harris moved schools, said: “We are delighted. It clearly shows it is a good and improving school.”

All aspects inspected by Ofsted were rated ‘good’, including the leadership and management of outgoing head Miss Harris, and the behaviour, safety and achievements of pupils.
