Applegarth Academy is part of the STEP Academy Trust (Striving Together for Excellence in Partnership) which is an inspirational and ambitious organisation, committed to improving the life chances of all children. As part of the Trust, there will be opportunities for career progression and excellent CPD. We encourage a collaborative approach throughout the School and the Trust.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Leadership Team at Applegarth Academy as an Assistant Headteacher. This is an exciting time in which to join our school as we continue to build on the strengths of our Ofsted inspection in March 2015, where we were judged to be a ‘Good’ School.
Applegarth is a two form primary school, with a Nursery and Enhanced Learning Provision. We serve a diverse community with a higher than average number of children with English as an Additional Language, and the number of children with SEN or eligible for Free School Meals is also much higher than average. Applegarth promotes a highly inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all children to achieve their best.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practioner, who will join a motivated and committed team working together to continue the journey to become a centre of excellence for teaching and learning.
We actively encourage you to visit the school to discuss this leadership post and to see our values in action. To arrange a visit, or if you have any queries, please contact the Office Manager, Samantha Talbot on 01689841528, or email: email@example.com.
Please also take a look at our website, where you will be able to find out a lot more about Applegarth Academy and the STEP Academy Trust. To apply please complete the application form and send to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
